How to choose your eyeliner?

Your role as a reseller in a make-up store is also to support your customers in their purchase. Give them advice on the best choice of eyeliner according to their needs. Beginners will more easily opt for a felt eyeliner that allows precise application, provided they choose a fine tip for a natural result.

Beginners can also turn to Kohl type pencils, very easy to use in a single gesture but not very precise. It is impossible to obtain an ultra-fine line and the hold is often very average with a tendency to smudge.

For those who have already mastered it, there is liquid eyeliner. It allows you to draw a clean line and a precise line. There are also gel or cream eyeliners which are preferred by professional makeup artists and allow extreme precision in application but require more practice.

How to apply eyeliner?

You can also give some techniques to your clients to draw a line of high precision eyeliner. You should already know that before drawing an impeccable line that lasts all day, your clients will have to train and test different products to find the one that suits them.

There are several ways to make up the eyes with eyeliner but we will mainly talk about the line of the comma which comes to emphasize the look and stretch the almond eyes. First tip: use a mirror angled lower than your face for easy application.

Second tip: it's easier to draw a line while sitting down, so you can rest your elbow and lean on your face. You must then apply the eyeliner brush following the root of the eyelashes of the mobile eyelid.

Contrary to popular belief, it is better to avoid pulling on the eyelids at the risk of deforming the comma. On the other hand, it is possible to pull the skin on the bottom of the eyebrows.

There are two schools: those who start their line from the inner corner to the outer corner of the upper eyelid and those who do the opposite and start with the comma. The first method is generally simpler.

To draw the comma and have smoky doe eyes, it is advisable to put a piece of tape by imagining an invisible line between the lower eyelashes and the top of the eyebrows. Just draw the line following the tape, let it dry and then gently remove. It is possible to remove excess eyeliner with a cotton swab and a little micellar water.

It is also possible to use a card (loyalty card for example) to draw a straight and symmetrical line with the other. To sublimate and enlarge the look, simply thicken the line by placing the card above between the end of the line and the upper lashes.
